What information do you need when ordering a replacement part?

Answer:
You need the system description, revision level and part number. Our staff is trained to ask you any other questions that we may need to identify what your needs are. We start answering the phones at 7:00 AM PST. Our warehouse is fully stocked and can ship overnight to any site in the nation.

Can I replace just the print button on my Sequoia?

Answer:
What can sometimes seem like an easy fix may involve replacing a larger part. This is such an instance. The print button is part of a larger user interface and must be rebuilt. We do that here in our Medical Repair Services Department. We have these in stock and you can replace your user interface within a day if that is what you need!

What are high failure items on the Acuson Sequoia?

Answer:
Items that start to fail on a Sequoia can be the PIC Board, the MX Board, CSD Board, RDP Board, MO Drive, IOV Board, power switch, the power supply, and the user interface. You should also consider the potential failures of your peripherals such as monitors, which are a high failure item.

Why not go with the OEM on older equipment when asking for service, parts, or technical support?

Answer:
Well, in general you are going to pay more for service and travel hours. Generally, they charge 30% more than Conquest Imaging. Engineers at OEMs are more directed toward their new system installations and repairs. We specialize in supporting older systems. Mind you, an older system can be last year’s model; nevertheless, we have knowledge that extends more than 20 years, so our engineers are able to respond to a wide variety of systems.

How long will my Ultrasound System be serviceable?

Answer:
Systems that receive semi-annual maintenance and prompt repairs when required should provide reliable operation and diagnostic studies for fifteen years or longer. VIEW ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

If I try to manage costs by using exchange transducers from Conquest Imaging will I be sacrificing quality or reliability?

What should always be done when working on a system for the first time?

Answer:
The most important rule of thumb when working on a system for the first time is creating a back-up.

How do I make a back-up to a CD on my Vivid 7?

Answer:

On a Vivid 7, back-ups can only be made to the 5.25” MOD. This is done by pressing F2 and logging in as ADM; the password should be blank.  Once logged in, select the Admin button at the bottom of the screen, then the Backup tab at the top of Admin page. Here you will simply insert a formatted MO disk and mark the appropriate check boxes next to the data you wish to back-up. When all desired categories are checked, click the Backup Now button on the bottom right of screen.

How can I check if my Sequoia is Phase 1 or Phase 3 without opening the card cage?

Answer:

To differentiate between Phase 1 and Phase 3 from the exterior:

  • Place yourself in the rear of the system so that you are facing the rear cosmetic.
  • Kneel down and open the rear door of the system.
  • Look in the top, left-hand corner of the rear compartment for a recessed RJ-45 jack with 5 LEDs lined up vertically above it.
  • If the jack is there, your system is Phase 1.
  • If there is no jack located there, your system is Phase 3.
